DHA Script FAQ

Where does it come from?

What is the dose?
We recommend one softgel daily.

What is the omega 3 fatty acid profile?
We are using 750mg of oil in one softgel which delivers 640mg Omega 3 fatty acids.
Of this, one softgel provides 500mg of DHA and 70mg of EPA and other Omega 3s, as well as

2,500 IU Vitamin D3.

I see “natural mixed tocopherols” which is vitamin E, where is that derived?
Vitamin E is a natural preservative due to its strong antioxidant activity. Most vitamin E comes from soy, but ours comes from sunflower oil, and it’s non GMO (ie not genetically modified).

This is on the label,

Is this a replacement for my prescription fish oil?
Our DHA Script is an Omega 3 fatty acid that is high DHA, low EPA, and it does not require prescription. It is not an “ethyl ester” like prescription drug versions.

HashiScript FAQ

Can I take HashiScript with my autoimmune situation?
HashiScript is a blend of antioxidants and digestive enzymes that support immune function, and metabolism of food particles. This in turn supports healthy antibody levels. Since we don’t know what’s right for everyone, we always ask that if you have a chronic condition, ask your practitioner(s) about new supplements.

Do I have to take HashiScript forever or can I stop when I feel better?
Yes, you can stop anytime you like. If you decide you felt better on the product then start back up again. There is no need to wean either, you can start or stop suddenly if you choose. This product should be thought of as an enzyme blend with special antioxidants, it is not a drug, nor does it contain any type of thyroid hormone.

What’s the main difference between HashiScript and Thyroid Script?
HashiScript is better if your immune system is involved.
Thyroid Script is better if your adrenals are involved.

Both formulas are intended to help the thyroid gland in terms of structure and function.*
Both are non-glandular formulas.  Both can help if you have low thyroid function.*
The ingredients are totally different between these formulas.

Thyroid Script contain a very small amount of iodine, HashiScript is iodine-free.  Thyroid Script supports adrenal health because it contains natural ashwagandha, whereas HashiScript does not.   On the other hand, HashiScript contains proteolytic enzymes that help if you have increased intestinal permeability,* often seen in those with autoimmune dysfunction.*  HashiScript supports a healthy immune system and may reduce antibodies,* whereas Thyroid Script supports a healthy adrenal and thyroid system but does not address immunity.

Can I take BOTH HashiScript and Thyroid Script?
Yes, if you’d like to.
Thyroid Script supports healthy levels of thyroid hormone as well as adrenal gland function (in case you’re experiencing stress).

The HashiScript is an iodine-free blend of digestive enzymes and antioxidants to support healthy levels of peroxide.*  It’s intention is to help support immunity and maintain healthy levels of antibodies.

I read that glutathione gets destroyed in the stomach acid. Does yours?
No, we have two forms of glutathione in HashiScript, one is acetylated and one is “reduced.” We have put these antioxidants inside a special acid-resistant capsule to ensure delivery to the right place.

What’s the dosage of HashiScript?
The suggestion is 2 capsules taken at once.  You may take it at any time of day, however most people take it in the daytime. As an alternative, you may take 1 capsule twice daily if you prefer.

Should I take it on an empty stomach or with food?
You may take it without regard to meals, however it may work better if you take it on an empty stomach because of the proteolytic enzymes. It’s really up to you, there is no wrong or right. It contains a blend of digestive enzymes, some work well with food and some on an empty stomach. Take at your convenience.

I am no longer constipated. I think it may be affecting my bowels, is that possible?
Yes, this formula contains various digestive enzymes that improve food metabolism as it moves through your GI tract.  Some people have reported a harmless discoloration to the stool (greenish), and improved regularity.  If for some reason, you experience diarrhea (we have not heard that yet but it’s possible), just reduce the dose. For example take 1 capsule per day instead of 2.

Can I take HashiScript if I no longer have a thyroid?
Yes, because this formula is not intended to produce thyroid hormone.
It supports immune function, and immune cells reside primarily in your gut.  HashiScript is a full-body antioxidant supplement and has anti-rusting properties (Catalase and Glutathione) which support the break down of free radicals such as peroxide. It will support immunity with or without a thyroid gland.*

I already take your Thyroid Script. Could I take HashiScript also or should I switch?

Yes. That is fine to do if you’d like to do because the HashiScript is primarily a digestive enzyme blend to support immunity and autoimmunity, and there are no duplications in the ingredients except the selenium.  But even if you take 2 capsules of Thyroid Script and 2 capsules of HashiScript, the total amount of selenium you’d get is 205 mcg.

This amount should be fine, the selenium dosage used in clinical trials is even higher than that so you are still within very safe margins. The symptoms to look for from excessive selenium would be agitation, restlessness, faster heart rate, diarrhea… and so forth, all of these symptoms could be from the selenium causing excessive thyroid hormone production. But again, some people take up to 400 mcg per day, as comparison. Dosing minerals can be difficult, it’s very individual. You could also take less of each formula if need be.

Is it okay to take HashiScript if I take thyroid medication?
Yes, this is essentially an antioxidant formula with some digestive enzymes so there is nothing in HashiScript that should interfere with medication, however we always ask that you get your practitioner’s blessings before starting new dietary supplements.  Keep in mind that with HashiScript, as your general health starts to improve, your thyroid function may begin to normalize or regulate itself better and then your medication may feel like it’s too much.  Of course, you must remain supervised by your physician so that drug dosages may be reduced if necessary.

Is it okay to take HashiScript if I take a statin cholesterol medication?
Yes, those medications interfere with selenium absorption (and CoQ10) so this product could be useful if you take a statin, because it contains selenium. Also, if you have lipid peroxidation, the Catalase in HashiScript could be helpful. Of course, we would like you to ask your practitioner(s) about the use of all dietary supplements before taking them, as we are not doctors here.

I have food sensitivities, will this help?

Yes, it should it contains some proteolytic and digestive enzymes known to help support you if you consume gluten or casein, or other food antigens.
Does it have magnesium stearate as an additive?
No. You will not find magnesium stearate in any Script Essential formulas.

Is it gluten-free?
Yes. All Script Essential products are gluten-free. We strive to be virtually hypo-allergenic, but we cannot know what personal allergies you have. Our products are made with the least possible “other” ingredients, and absolutely no artificial preservatives, fillers or colors.

Where do I buy HashiScript?

Thyroid Greens ™ FAQ

How much is in a scoop?
1 scoop is equal to 1 level tablespoon.

Can you take more or less than a scoop each day?
Yes, however the optimal health benefits will occur if you take a tablespoon (you can split that dose during the day if you like).  You can also put a tablespoon into your water bottle and just sip it all day.    You may also take more than what is recommended on the label. Think of it like you would fruits and vegetables.

Can I take this if I have Hashimoto’s?
There are no reasons why you could not, in fact some of the ingredients are known to support autoimmunity. The formula does contain iodine which some people with Hashimoto’s need, and some do not need (and may react to).  You can test yourself by starting out with a teaspoon each day and see how you feel.

Can I take Thyroid Greens with your Thyroid Script thyroid support formula?
Yes, I custom formulated the greens mix to enhance the effect of Thyroid Script. You can even take them at the same time if you’d like, although many people enjoy the feeling of energy by taking the greens in the mid-afternoon (instead of coffee).  You can do as you wish, it’s safe.

Is it okay to take Thyroid Greens if I take medication such as Synthroid, Armour, Nature-Throid,  Compounded T3 or Cytomel?
Yes, and you should keep in mind that Thyroid Greens supports enhanced thyroid hormone production and may enhance the effect of your medication. Monitor for signs of high thyroid hormone levels if you combine Thyroid Greens with medicine, it could be a sign of improved health, and your cue to back off the medicine (with your physician’s approval).  Signs of high thyroid hormone include insomnia, agitation, palpitations, feeling jittery or anxious or diarrhea.

Is it organic?

Yes, it was manufactured in the United States, specifically California. It is CCOF certified.

California Certified Organic Farmers is a United States Department of Agriculture-accredited organic certifying agency and trade association.  They are a nonprofit organization that advances organic agriculture for a healthy world through organic certification and advocacy.

Can I use these if I don’t have a thyroid problem?
Yes, the intentions is to give you all the benefits of traditional green super mixes without risking harm to your iodine levels or your thyroid gland.

I have food sensitivities, can you assure me Thyroid Greens is free of dairy, soy and gluten?

Yes. Thyroid Greens is pharmacist formulated and it is a custom green superfood mix guaranteed to be free of soy, dairy, and wheat. It is gluten free.  It is also made without the use of any GMO ingredients. It is made in the United States. There are NO artificial colors, ingredients, sweeteners or additives. It is vegan.

Can children take Thyroid Greens every day?
Yes, it contains a blend of nutritious fruits and vegetables, it provides protein. Although we have testimonials of children enjoying the taste of Thyroid Greens, every child is different and you can certainly stir Thyroid Greens into juice instead of water if you would like to. You can also use 1 or 2 teaspoonfuls instead of an entire scoop (which equals 1 tablespoon).

May I put it in a smoothie or cook with it (heat it)?
Yes, either is fine just not too high a temperature but many moms will put a teaspoon into a recipe of cookies to turn them green for the kiddos.  Some of you have sent recipes for other baked items such as carrot muffins or bread with my greens mixed in, again that is fine.

Should I be completely avoiding goitrogenic foods like broccoli, spinach or cauliflower?
No, you can enjoy them just cook the vegetables. When I refer to the goitgrogens in other proprietary green mixes, I am referring to them as raw powder. It’s the raw form of goitrogens that have the most iodine-suppressive effect.

If I have a goiter can I take Thyroid Greens.
If your doctor has said that your goiter is due to iodine deficiency, and asked you to take iodine or something that improves iodine absorption then it would be a good super green mix to try. If your doctor has asked you to avoid iodine for some reason, then you should avoid this product.

What is the flavor?
A non GMO, organic blend of mixed berries as well as natural vanilla. We add evaporated cane juice.  There is no stevia. There are no sugar alcohols like xylitol either. And there are no artificial sweeteners whatsoever.

Does it have magnesium stearate as an additive?
No. You will not find magnesium stearate in any of our products.

Is it gluten-free?  I see wheat grass in there.
Yes. it is definitely gluten-free. Wheat grass does not have gluten in it, even though the name is confusing. Thyroid Greens is gluten-free.

Is this similar to my multivitamin?
In some ways yes, green super mixes contain more nutrition in a tablespoon than most people get in an entire day, or even a week depending on what you eat!

I read the ingredients on the label, but what does it all mean?
The fruits and vegetables contained in Thyroid Greens are basically fruits and vegetables, and sea vegetables (like sea lettuce for example).  These provide antioxidant coverage and potent phytonutrients to drench your cells in health. Everything in Thyroid Greens is “functional” which is the new buzz word in the health industry. Thyroid Greens offers functional ingredients meaning it’s there for a reason to support your optimal health. There are no fillers, excipients or additives.

Why not stevia?
Stevia is not in my current formula as most consumers note a bitter aftertaste, as if it tastes “artificial.” We use 100% pure, organic natural evaporated cane sugar and the amount utilized in a dose of Thyroid Greens is the equivalent of the amount of sugar found in one-third of an apple.

I’m not used to using green mixes, it’s a little thick and has an “interesting” flavor.  What suggestions do you have to help me get used to this?

Getting used to greens may take a few days, and then you’ll be a veteran! You can mix a small amount, for example, just 1 teaspoonful into a regular size water bottle and drink it through the day. Each day, add a little bit more until you reach your preferred texture and taste. A full scoop is equal to 3 teaspoons.

Yes, here are some suggestions:

1.  Use CRUSHED or CUBED ICE. It’s surprising how using ice, or ice water ice makes it taste differently. Add any amount, and take it cold.

2. Mix it really well.  Put it into a shaker bottle. I use a tiny metal miniature whisk at home, or a fork to stir it.  All greens have to be stirred.

3.  If it’s too sweet for you, or too thick, you can mix 1 scoop (1 tablespoon) into your water bottle with some ice, this makes it thinner and less sweet.

4.  If the flavor is too sweet, mix 1/2 to 1 scoop into water, any amount. You can also add a shot of grapefruit juice or pomegranate juice. This will ‘cut’ the sweetness and make it more tart, while adding even more health benefits.

5. If it’s not sweet enough, you can mix 1 scoop (the full amount) into your water bottle, only dump half the water out first, and fill it with apple, grape juice or coconut juice (this makes it sweeter).

6. You can mix Thyroid Greens with soda or a carbonated beverage of your choice.

7. You can mix it into a smoothie, we even have a recipe book with smoothie ideas including Mango Bango, Honey Almond and others. A smoothie is a great way to introduce healthy greens to your kiddos! See attached.

Can I drink alcohol with your greens?
Yes, there’s no interaction with that.  In fact, I’ve been asked if it’s okay to put a scoop of Thyroid Greens into a Frozen Margherita (or Pina Colada, etc) and the answer is YES!

Can I take Thyroid Greens with other herbal supplements or medications?
When you think of green superfood supplements, think of them as you would a big salad or fruit bowl, all in powdered form. When you think of it that way, you realize that it’s likely safe to take with pretty much anything, except anticoagulant pharmaceuticals which go by the name Coumadin (warfarin), Plavix and others. Thyroid Greens contains approximately 270 mug of vitamin K per serving and if you take anticoagulant drugs, you are told to avoid vitamin K.
To be sure what is right and safe for you, please ask your physician. Generally speaking green food supplements are used globally and considered relatively safe, they are not drugs, but again, if you take anticoagulant drugs or drugs that require you to completely avoid vitamin K, then you’d want to avoid Thyroid Greens and all greens for that matter.

Can I take this while pregnant?
There are ingredients in green superfood blends that are well known to support a healthy pregnancy, however we respectfully ask you to check with your OB/GYN and make sure.  Our Thyroid Greens contains edible seaweeds like dulse and sea lettuce which are rich in natural iron, and supportive for mother and baby; beetroot found in Thyroid Greens is another superfood often suggested to pregnant moms. However, to be safe, we always ask that you make sure with your own physician what’s right for you.

Are the fruit flavors natural?
Yes, the mixed berry flavor is organic, and non GMO blend of blueberry, raspberry and blackberries.  The sweetness that you taste in Thyroid Greens comes in part from this mixed berry flavor, as well as from beetroot, pineapple extract, acai berries and a tiny amount of organic evaporated cane sugar.  We seriously strive to have the best tasting green blend on the market.

About how many servings of fruits and veggies does one serving equate to?
Approximately 5 or 6.

Can I take this greens blend if I have Hashimoto’s or Graves’ disease?
We always ask that if you have complex or chronic illness that you run supplements by your physician, and yes, we have people with both these autoimmune disorders of they thyroid on our greens formula.  It is not intended to increase, or decrease thyroid hormone, it is simply intended to support systems in your body that improve detoxification and energy systems.*

Thyroid Greens was designed with your thyroid in mind, so it is goitrogen-free. This means it does not contain any grasses, fruits or vegetables that impair thyroid hormone production, and likewise, it does not contain any substances which increase thyroid hormone production either.  It has a minute amount of iodine (about 6.4 mcg) naturally occurring from seaweeds.

If you’re doctor approves you to take Thyroid Greens, and you have a complex or chronic unstable disorder (of any sort, including thyroid disease), I ask that you start very slowly and gauge your response. For example, start with a teaspoonful in water and take that for a few days, and then increase from there to your desired or tolerated amount.  If you have a chronic difficult-to-treat illness, this is a good rule of thumb for any supplement you take.

Does it need to be refrigerated?
No, the greens powder is stable at room temperature for years, but it’s so good it will be gone in a month or two! You can certainly refrigerate if you feel like it, but there’s no need to.

Where is your chlorella sourced from?
I heard many makers of greens get it from Japan and I worry about radioactivity (from the water source). Chlorella used in Thyroid Greens is sourced from China (not Japan), and our chlorella has “GRAS" status according to the regulations set forth by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA): http://www.fda.gov/Food/IngredientsPackagingLabeling/GRAS/
I am having trouble opening The Thyroid Summit presentations which I got with my Thyroid Greens purchase.
While we do not have dedicated tech support, the best thing to do is to go back to your email and click on the link again. It should re-open immediately. You can also look in “Downloads” And you can search iTunes as it often downloads into that application. Sometimes, teenagers know how to find these types of things, so ask one of your trusted neighborhood kids ;-)

1) Can I take Thyroid GREENS with my medicine?
Absolutely. It will not interfere with thyroid medicine, or any other medicine for that matter. It’s actually a “food” it’s not a supplement. Now, remember that people on WARFARIN, COUMADIN or PLAVIX are supposed to stay away from greens, so all of you folks, you better avoid this, and ask your doctor if you are ever allowed.

2) Most green powders have to be mixed with water. Can I mix your Thyroid GREENS in anything else?

Yes. You can mix it in any juice you like, or soda, or tea or beer if you want! LOL… it’s fine! You can even add a scoop to your baking recipes and make green cookies for your kiddos.

3)  Since your Thyroid GREENS has a probiotic in it, do I need to continue my regular probiotic?
Yes. The Bacillus Coagulans that I put in Thyroid GREENS is just one strain. If you are taking another probiotic during the day,  please continue.

4) I see pineapple powder on your label, that’s such an odd choice for a fruit. WHY?
Because pineapples give us “bromelain” which is a healthy digestive enzyme that breaks down proteins. Bromelian  has been studied for it’s effect on asthma, allergies, joint pain, sinus health and much more.

5) When should I use this?
Anytime you want, but keep in mind it might give you a nice feeling of clarity or alertness as most greens do. For this reason I suggest taking it in the morning, or at lunch or even early afternoon. I don’t think you should take it at night unless you work a nightshift.

JointScript ™ FAQ

When is the best time to take JointScript?
Most people will respond to 2 capsules taken once daily with dinner. The frankincense (boswellia) may cause relaxation in some people, and if that’s the case you may take this product at bedtime. Experiment and see what is best for you as timing does not matter with this product.

Can I split up the dosage on JointScript or take more than recommended on the label?
Yes, you can certainly take 1 capsule twice daily. Most people take both at once with a meal, lunch or dinner. The recommended dose is 2 capsules taken once daily, as this is easy to remember and provides the full dose of ingredients. If (after a month), you would like to increase your dosage to 3 per day, that is fine. This product is safe and we understand that each individual is unique.

Can I take JointScript if I’m taking Glucosamine and/or Chondroitin?
Yes you may.

Can I take JointScript with my Celebrex, Advil, Tylenol or Analgesics (Vicodan, Percocet)
Yes you may. As time goes by, if you start feeling better, you may ask your doctor to reduce dosage on the medications. JointScript does not “mask” the pain like drugs do, it works toward replacing the cushion between your joints.

Is there any “animal-derived” ingredients in JointScript?
Yes, we use a purified extract from chicken cartilage. This is known in the medical literature as UC-II and it has been well-documented to support joint health and relieve pain. Our product is designed to address the root cause of joint problems, not just mask the pain. Our formula uses animals that were treated humanely and not harmed for this express purpose.

Is JointScript genetically modified? Was it tested on animals.
Heavens no, none of our products are!  And no we do not do testing on animals.

What if I miss a dose of JointScript?
Take it as soon as you remember.

What if I’m allergic to SULFA, can I take JointScript?
JointScript contains MSM which is sulfur based, but sulfur and SULFA are two totally different ingredients. You may take JointScript with a SULFA allergy.  SULFA is the abbreviation that pertains to medications at the pharmacy such as Bactrim/Septra or Sulfonylurea diabetic drugs. SULFA has nothing to do with sulfur, a natural compound found in many dietary supplements, and sulfur is natural to your body. SULFA is a synthetic chemical. These are not at all related.

Can I take it with my blood thinner medication?
It should be fine but you should ask your physician or practitioner because there is a small amount of ginger, known to be a blood thinner. This property of ginger is considered a good thing, it is healthful, however if you are combining it with your prescription blood thinner (ie Plavix, Coumadin, Warfarin or other) we ask that you double-check with your physician.

GlucoScript ® FAQ

GlucoScript™ is a unique nutritional supplement intended to support healthy blood sugar levels, which helps with appetite and cravings.*

Taking GlucoScript®

How long should I give GlucoScript to work?

Keep taking GlucoScript for at least two months so you can determine what your individual results are after taking it for that long.

How will I know if GlucoScript is working?

Two factors – that are different for every individual – will always have an impact on GlucoScript’s effectiveness. The first factor is your usual starting blood sugar level, and the second factor is your weight when you start taking GlucoScript. That’s why there is no “pat answer” to the question, “How will I know if it’s working?”

Taking GlucoScript is not just about maintaining a healthy blood sugar level.* GlucoScript’s effectiveness is also determined by how much better you feel at the end of two months of taking it. Because taking GlucoScript is also about what its ingredients are doing to support your vision, to lessen your nerve pain, and to help you better manage your appetite.*

For example, there are GlucoScript customers who didn’t have a big drop in blood sugar, but did see a drop in their A1c level* – which is still very important.

GlucoScript is intended to support a number of organs and tissues in your body and reduce the risk of a number of adverse health conditions.* The result of you taking GlucoScript may be helping you to maintain normal blood pressure, or promoting normal cholesterol metabolism, or improving capillary function that will support the overall health of your eyes, kidneys, and heart.*

Taking GlucoScript is not just about blood sugar, it’s about the overall positive impact that taking it will have on your overall health, and it’s about taking the time to recognize those benefits as they happen.

Can I take GlucoScript® with food?

Yes, it’s actually preferred since this will minimize any kind of stomach upset that occurs with dietary supplements. If that is inconvenient, you can certainly take it without regard to meals.

I am taking diabetic medications and/or INSULIN.  Is GlucoScript® recommended for me?

This formula is intended to reduce blood sugar, just like insulin and medications do. The combination of GlucoScript® with medications will enhance the blood glucose lowering effect, thus it may cause hypoglycemia. We ask that you strictly monitor your blood sugar levels and recommend you ask your doctor if this supplement is right for you. The key for you to remember (and your physician) is that medication dosage may need to be adjusted (reduced) as you begin responding to GlucoScript® (which could take days to weeks).

Timing is important. May I take GlucoScript® at the same exact time as my medication?
Let me first assume your physician has approved GlucoScript® for you since you also take pharmaceuticals. In this case, it is fine to take with medicine, or you can separate. It does not matter because GlucoScript® works throughout the day.

When will optimal effects be seen with GlucoScript® ?
You may notice reduced FBS (fasting blood sugar) numbers within the first week or two, however optimal effects may take up to 2 months. Hemoglobin A1c levels may become reduced after 3 months.

It says to take 2 capsules of GlucoScript® but do I start that way, or work up to that?
Most people start with 2 capsules of GlucoScript, all at once, however you can also separate your dose. For example, if you don’t want to take both capsules at once, you can take one in the morning and one at lunch, or at 5pm for example. There is no hard-fast rule. Some people who take prescription medications will do better starting with one capsule daily for a week or two before increasing the dosage. The reason for this is to allow their body to get used to the GlucoScript®, and as blood sugar reductions are noticed, the medication dosage can be reduced. As you ramp up GlucoScript®, you can ask your doctor about reducing medication dosages. The goal is to avoid hypoglycemic effects.

What are the signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia? How would I know that my blood sugar was dangerously low?
The combination of GlucoScript® with medications may increase your risk of hypoglycemia (because this product reduces blood sugar). Signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia include:

Confusion, shakiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, irritabilty or feeling unusually impatient, faint, weak, hungry, nauseous, nervousness, sweatiness, chills, anxiety, delirious, fast or erratic heart rate.

These are signs and symptoms that you need to call your physician, and of course increase your glucose quickly. Sometimes people drink orange juice or eat honey, or some cake frosting… as a diabetic, most of you have something on hand such as glucose tablets or other items to quickly raise blood sugar in the event of hypoglycemia.

Please note: GlucoScript™ is intended to reduce blood sugar, and when combined with medication, this effect enhanced and cumulative.

Are there any glandular-derived compounds in GlucoScript™ ?
No, there are no glandulars.

Is GlucoScript™ genetically modified?

No, this is a non-GMO product, custom formulated by America’s Pharmacist, Suzy Cohen.

Does GlucoScript™ contain magnesium stearate?

GlucoScript™ does not have any stearates in it at all.

Can GlucoScript™ be taken at night?
Yes, there is no problem taking this at night if you’d like. Individuals respond differently, so if you find that it causes sedation, taking it night is best. If you find that it creates alertness and energy for you, then taking it during the day would be ideal. Preferably, you want to take this at the same time each day (once you find your optimal time).

Thyroid Script ™ FAQ (ThyroScript)

Thyroid Script™ is a one-of-a-kind nutritional supplement to support healthy thyroid function and natural absorption and activation of thyroid hormone. It helps improve metabolism, which assists in weight management, while also improving energy, motivation and brain function.*

I already get "ThyroScript" on autoship.  Do I need to contact you to change to the new kind to "Thyroid Script"?
A: You don't need to do a thing!  We will begin sending you the new and improved formula in the amber glass bottles beginning with your very next order.

Does Thyroid Script™ provide thyroid hormone?

No, it is not a medication and thus, it does not supply your body with thyroid hormone. It contains natural amino acids, vitamins and minerals that allow for your own body to produce its own thyroid hormone, T4 (thyroxine), an inactive thyroid hormone which your body must then convert to active T3 (triiodothyronine).

Can I take Thyroid Script™ at night?

Thyroid Script contains ingredients which may give you a sense of energy or well-being so most people don’t take it at night. On occasion, it can make a person drowsy due to the ashwagandha, and so if you notice you get drowsy then yes, take it at night or bedtime. Ashwagandha may provide more restful, deeper sleep.  But again, most people who take it feel a heightened sense of alertness so you just have to experiment and see how you feel on it.

Should I start with 2 capsules of Thyroid Script™ all at once?

Most people do start with 2 capsules at once, however, you do not have to if you consider yourself the ‘sensitive’ sort and you already know that you need lower doses of other supplements in the past.  You can certainly start with 1 capsule in the morning and note how you feel for the first few days.  You can even dump out half of one capsule for an even lower dose, if you’re extremely sensitive. If you’re on You can build up from there. The optimal dose for most people is 2 capsules taken daily, either both together, or separated by a few hours (this is up to you).  And once in a while, we hear that 1 capsule is enough. The reason for the variance in dosage is because each person is unique in how they metabolize and also, we each have an individual ‘baseline’ level of thyroid hormone in our body.

Can I take Thyroid Script™ along with my prescription medication for thyroid?

It’s possible that you may be able to take it with your medicine, and your medicine could work better inside the tissues, however, taking Thyroid Script™ must be discussed with your physician(s). Thyroid Script™ does not provide your body with thyroid hormone, however it contains nutrients (in small amounts) that enhance the formation of inactive thyroid hormone (T4), while also protecting your thyroid gland and liver so you can more efficiently make, activate and use thyroid hormone. This makes it easier for your body to produce and utilize active thyroid hormone (T3).* This in turn supports weight management, body temperature, cognition, energy and cholesterol health, common situations among people struggling to maintain healthy thyroid function.*

Does Thyroid Script™ contain wheat or gluten?

No, it does not. In fact, it has an enzyme that helps you to digest gluten in case you are eating it. I recommend that you eat gluten free, and preferably grain free while taking Thyroid Script™, however this diet is not absolutely necessary.

Does Thyroid Script™ contain allergens?

It does NOT contain milk, egg, fish, gluten, corn, peanuts, crustacean shellfish, soybeans, tree nuts, wheat, yeast, or rice. This product does NOT contain hidden fillers, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, colors or flavors, or sugar.

Does Thyroid Script™ contain animal glandulars derived from cow or pork?

No, there are no animal glandulars of any sort in my formula. I do not believe that glandulars are safe for everyone, especially if you have multiple medical problems. Further, there is a risk of reacting adversely to foreign animal tissue or viral/bacterial contamination of animal tissue. Animal glands may have residues of every pollutant the animal was exposed to. As good as quality control evaluations are, laboratories simply cannot test for all the different possible contaminants, so for this reason, Thyroid Script™ does not contain animal glandulars.

What is DPPIV, the special ingredient in Thyroid Script™?

Your body has its own digestive enzyme for gluten called “dipeptidyl peptidase-IV” or DPPIV. People who have a deficiency in this enzyme have trouble breaking down difficult-to-digest proteins. Partial digestion of gluten can exasperate the gastrointestinal tract, inflame the small intestinal, launch an immune response and attack the thyroid gland. The inclusion of DPPIV is intended to protect your body from gluten, but it is not 100 percent. Some of the gluten you consume is still going to get absorbed, the enzyme just assists you. I recommend that you eat gluten free, and preferably grain free while taking Thyroid Script™, however this diet is not absolutely necessary.

Since Thyroid Script™ supports energy producing pathways in the body, does it contain stimulants like ephedra, guarana or caffeine?

No, it does not contain any of those, nor does it contain yohimbine, bitter orange, kola nut or khat. There are no stimulants in Thyroid Script™. I am not against all of those, I simply do not see the need for them because this formula is designed to help you produce, activate and integrate thyroid hormone.* There would be no need for a stimulant.

Why are there only small amounts of tyrosine and iodine in this supplement, compared to other supplements on the market?

As an expert in thyroid health, I know that most people are fully capable of making thyroid hormone from these two compounds which you get in your diet. The problem for many people is activating the hormone to it’s biologically active form, and then getting it into the cell and the mitochondria. The nutrients in Thyroid Script™ assist you in producing some thyroid hormone, but mainly in using what you have.

Is Thyroid Script a vegan product?

Is Thyroid Script genetically modified?

Nothing in this product has been genetically modified, so even though it is not on the label, the product is definitely “non-GMO”

Is it kosher?

No, it has not been certified kosher.

Will Thyroid Script work for hyperthyroidism as well as hypothyroidism?

The formula is designed to enhance thyroid function and/or improve the way your medicine works. It is not for hyperthyroidism, it may exacerbate that condition or the autoimmune version of hyperthyroidism termed Graves’ disease. If you would like more understanding, you can read my article here:

How much iodine is in Thyroid Script and why is it in there? Is it safe for a person with Hashimoto’s?

Most people are a bit low in iodine due to dietary or medication interference so the addition of a small amount of iodine is included in the Thyroid Script formula. Iodine is used to build T4 hormone (thyroxine), which is naturally secreted from the thyroid gland. Iodine is also needed to convert this inactive T4 to T3 hormone (your biologically active thyroid hormone).  There’s only 500 mcg (MICROgrams) in Thyroid Script.  While it appears that this is high since the daily value indicated on the label is 333%, it is really not that much iodine. You have to realize that stand-alone iodine supplements typically have 11.5 mg (MILLIgrams) in them!  That’s a lot, and people take those iodine supplements one to four times daily depending on their iodine requirements. So with Thyroid Script having only 500 mcg, that’s 4% of what you might get from standard over-the-counter iodine supplements.

People with Hashimoto’s can often benefit from a small amount of iodine, but this type of question is for your doctor.

How do I determine if the iodine in Thyroid Script is too much for me?

There’s only 500 mcg (MICROgrams) in Thyroid Script. Compare that to 11.5 mg (MILLIgrams) in most supplements. That’s 4% of what’s in most other stand-alone iodine supplements.

Here’s what you get from food:

Dried seaweed (like sushi), 4,500 mcg iodine

1 cup yogurt, about 80 mcg

3 ounce Cod fish, about 100 mcg

1/4 teaspoon iodized salt, 71 mcg

Symptoms of excess iodine include diarrhea, stomach upset, palpitations, acne and feeling thirsty.

Can I take your Selenium along with Thyroid Script?

No, you should not be taking both, it’s one or the other. There is plenty of selenium in Thyroid Script already.

Is it okay to take your Iodine Complex along with Thyroid Script?

There is very little iodine in Thyroid Script, so if you are tested and told by your physician that you need more iodine, then it would be okay to take both supplements (Iodine Complex and Thyroid Script), and yes they may be taken at the same time with a meal.

Will Thyroid Script help get your thyroid back to a healthy place where it can properly function, or must I continue to take the supplement to maintain a healthy thyroid?

Taking Thyroid Script now does not mean you have to stay on it lifelong. It contains an adrenal adaptogen which helps support your adrenal glands. Once those are nourished, over time, perhaps a few months, your thyroid will respond better. Your thyroid gland function is dependent on healthy adrenal function and once that is addressed, you may not need it anymore. It does nothing to shut down production of your own thyroid hormone, you will still be making thyroid hormone like normal, while you take Thyroid Script. (There’s no feedback loop).
