Ingredients

Please see the image on this page for all the ingredients. The blend contains 100% natural (and organic where available) sea grass, fruits and vegetables. It is 100% free of goitrogens which can suppress thyroid hormone production. The iodine in this formula naturally occurs from the ingredient called dulse.

Usage

Suggested Use: Mix 1 scoop in water, tea or juice, or smoothie. Adjust the amount of liquid to your desired sweetness.

FAQ

Q: Can you take more or less than a scoop each day?
A: Yes, however the optimal health benefits will occur if you just take what is recommended on the label. Think of it like you would fruits and vegetables, so yes you can take more, but you don’t need to.

Q: Can I take this if I have Hashimoto’s?
A: There are no reasons why you could not, in fact some of the ingredients are known to support immune function. The formula does confer natural iodine which some people with Hashimoto’s need, and others do not. Ask your doctor what is best for you.

Q: Can I take Thyroid Greens with your ThyroScript thyroid support formula?
A: Yes, and it’s a great idea! I custom formulated the Yummy Greens drink mix to enhance the effect of Thyroid Script capsules.

Q: Is it okay to take Thyroid Greens if I take medication?
A: Probably, but we recommend you speak to your practitioner. The reason is that Yummy Greens supports thyroid function, so it will possibly enhance the effect of your medication. Monitor for signs of high thyroid hormone levels such as insomnia, agitation, palpitations, feeling jittery or anxious or diarrhea.

Q: Can I use these if I don’t have a thyroid problem?
A: Yes, of course. The goitrogens suppress hormone production in all people, not just those with thyroid illness.

Q: Is it gluten free, I see wheatgrass in there.
A: Yes it is gluten-free. Wheatgrass does not have gluten in it, even though the name is confusing.There are no artificial colors, ingredients, sweeteners or additives. It is vegan.

Q: Should I be completely avoiding goitrogenic foods like broccoli, spinach or cauliflower?
A: No, when cooked, they are no longer goitrogenic. In uncooked green drink mixes, they may have an iodine-suppressive effect which then reduces thyroid hormone production.

Q: Is the flavor natural? A: Yes, it is nonGMO organic blend of mixed berries, stevia and natural vanilla. There are no sugar alcohols in this formula, or any artificial sweeteners.

Q: What should I use if I find the flavor is too sweet for me?
A: Mix it in grapefruit juice or pomegranate juice. Use less as well.

Q: Does it need to be refrigerated?
A: The dry powder does not. If however, you blend it into water/juice or a smoothie, then yes, put it in the refrigerator. Drinking Yummy Greens® when it is cold, or over ice can be a refreshing way to start the day!
