Sustained irritations or feeling chronic stress, leads to a change that is felt widespread in yourbody. It leads to elevated cortisol, your stress hormone, and worse, reduced levels of feel-good hormones such as serotonin and dopamine.
Over just a few months, this could lead to severe depression, OCD and anehedonia and apathy. Furthermore, GABA is reduced, which then causes insomnia. People with insomnia have a higher risk of heart attack. Glutamic acid (glutamate) is increased, and this is a stimulating, pain-causing cytokine that leads to anxiety, attention-deficit, migraines, pain amplification and restlessness.
