Benefits
Each softgel contains the biologically activated form of cholecalciferol, which matches the human body’s version. VItamin D promotes healthy bones and immune function as an antioxidant*
Vitamin D3 has long been known to help the body absorb calcium and phosphorus, which are essential for strong healthy bones.* Vitamin D is useful for cardiac rhythm and even a 2016 study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology discovered that D supplementation in people with with chronic heart failure experienced improved cardiac function in various parameters!*
Laboratory studies suggest that “D” can reduce malignant out-of-control proliferation of cells, and mitigate various infections. Moreover, this powerful antioxidant is known to support healthy cytokine balance, and therefore reduce the risk of inflammation.*

FAQ
Q. Should I take this formula with food?
A. It may be taken without regard to meals.
Q. Is it gluten-free?
A. Yes
Q. What are food sources of Vitamin D?
A. Fatty fish, meat, anchovies, beef liver, egg yolks and cheese.
Q. What are signs and symptoms of D deficiency?
A. There are dozens of potential problems, the most common of which include lethargy, sleep disturbances, bone pain, depression, hair loss, weak muscles, poor appetite, and frequent infections.
Q. Why do people become deficient in Vitamin D?
A. Either a lack of vitamin D in the diet and/or lack of sun exposure. It may also be due to an inability to absorb vitamin D from the intestines. In many people there are problems with hydroxylation (conversion) of vitamin D, due to compromised liver and/or kidney function (where the nutrient gets fully activated to calcitriol).
Q. When is the best time to take Vitamin D, morning or night?
A. Take it in the morning, the way the sun rises. This is the “sunshine vitamin” and will work best if taken with breakfast, or lunch.
Q. Why didn’t you put Vitamin K in your formula?
A. There are seven reasons which you can read about HERE. The main reason is that additional supplemental vitamin K is not right for many people, and especially those supported on anticoagulants, both natural and prescribed. Many people don’t know they take an anticoagulant, and the vitamin K increases risk of blood clots. So if you want vitamin K (with your D), you’ll have to buy it separately. It is not in this formula for safety concerns.
Q. Who should not take Vitamin D?
A. People with elevated levels of vitamin D, those with hypercalcemia or people with hyperparathyroidism that have elevated serum or ionized calcium.
Q. What are signs of excessive Vitamin D? Like, how do I know if I get too much?
A. The major detrimental effect of D is an excess of calcium in the bloodstream (termed hypercalcemia). Symptoms of this include nausea, vomiting, frequent urination, bone pain, kidney stones and weakness. There is a blood test you can take to determine calcium levels, as well as D levels.
